Do I have to undress?
No, therapeutic massage can be offered over your clothing. Skin on skin contact is more beneficial but your comfort is always number priority! If you are comfortable to undress I will explain during consent the articles of clothing that would be best to remove. You will remain draped under a sheet for your entire treatment and only when I am working on the consented areas will I securely undrape the them.

Treatment of sensitive areas?
The college has deemed Buttocks (gluteal muscles), Breast(s), Chest Wall Muscles and Upper Inner Thighs to be a sensitive area. If you or I feel that these areas would be beneficial to treatment we will discuss them during your treatment plan and ONLY if you are comfortable with treatment to the sensitive area will we proceed. If you are not comfortable I will try to offer other options to still have a positive outcome to treatment. If you agree to a sensitive area treatment written consent must be provided.

Will my Medical Plan cover treatments?
As every medical plan is different I encourage you to contact your provider and find out your specific coverage. Some plans may require a Doctor’s note while others may not. I am a Registered Massage Therapist with The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and a registry number will be provided on your receipt for verification.

How many treatments will I need?
As every person is unique so is every injury and ailment. On your first visit I will do a thorough case history intake that will assess your primary concern. During this time I will set out a treatment plan with you giving you an idea of how long I think it may take to address your concern. If I don’t think I can properly help I will let you know and refer you to a practitioner that I believe will be better suited. If I believe that I am able to provide you with a treatment plan then only after you agree to it will we proceed with consent to treat and then treatment.
Are you Registered?
Yes, I am a Registered and in good standing with the CMTO (College of Massage Therapists of Ontario) since 2003. I am also a member of the RMTAO (Registered Massage Therapist Association of Ontario)
