What to expect from your massage therapy treatment during COVID

My goal is to ensure the safety of you and I. During these uncertain times, it's important to keep our health at the top priority. As we are Regulated Health Professionals, we may continue to offer massage therapy services for essential treatments.  A risk assessment is done prior to treatment to ensure the benefits of treatment outweigh the risks. Below I have indicated a few procedures that will need to be followed to make you feel comfortable and safe during your massage treatment! Before Your Appointment

  • You will be pre-screened for your Covid risk… this could be by phone or virtual survey

  • Please ask any questions you may have regarding health measures in place

  • If you don’t feel well please call or text to reschedule. There will be no fees for late cancellations

When You Arrive

  • Arrive alone and as close to your appointment time as possible

  • Once you arrive please send me a text and let me know you are here

  • As soon as I am ready to welcome you in I will call you and do another Covid pre-screen

  • If you have a negative screen I will come and open the door for you

  • Arrive wearing a clean reusable or disposable mask

  • I will open the door wearing a clean mask and safety glasses

  • Please immediately wash your hands once in the clinic

  • Practice physical distancing

Behind the Scenes

  • Linens, blankets and pillows will be changed and cleaned after each treatment

  • Treatment room will be completely disinfected between each appointment

  • All surface will be cleaned and disinfected often

During Your Appointment

  • Currently masking  is recommended not mandatory

  • I will be wearing a mask

After Your Appointment

  • Wash your hands

  • Contactless payment if possible (tap your card)

  • Practice physical distancing

  • A digital receipt will be sent to your inbox

At Your Home

Before Your Appointment

  • In an effort to minimize transporting equipment everyone needs a massage table and vinyl pillow cover already in their home. Please contact me with any questions regarding this

  • You will be pre-screened for your Covid risk… this could be by phone or virtual survey

  • Anyone who will be in the home while I am there will need to be screened

  • Please ask any questions you may have regarding health measures in place

  • Please ensure I have a designated sink to use while I am in your home and a lined waste bin accessible to me

  • If you don’t feel well please call or text to reschedule. There will be no fees for late cancellations

When I Arrive

  • Once I arrive I will call the first person being treated for another Covid pre-screen to ensure your health hasn’t changed

  • I will arrive wearing a clean mask and safety glasses. Anyone within 2 meters of where I am will need to be wearing a reusable or disposable mask

  • The first person being treated is asked to answer the door wearing a mask ready for treatment

  • Once I enter your home I will sanitize my hands and put on clean slippers

  • Before setting up I will wash my hands

  • Set up may take a little longer as I will clean and disinfect the table, stool and vinyl pillow before placing the sheets on

Behind the Scenes

  • Anything brought into a home is cleaned, disinfected and transported by a
    closed sanitized bin
